* accel/tcg: Move perf and debuginfo support to tcg/Ilya Leoshkevich2024-01-291-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | tcg/ should not depend on accel/tcg/, but perf and debuginfo support provided by the latter are being used by tcg/tcg.c. Since that's the only user, move both to tcg/. * gdbstub: move syscall handling to new fileAlex Bennée2023-03-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Our GDB syscall support is the last chunk of code that needs target specific support so move it to a new file. We take the opportunity to move the syscall state into its own singleton instance and add in a few helpers for the main gdbstub to interact with the module. I also moved the gdb_exit() declaration into syscalls.h as it feels pretty related and most of the callers of it treat it as such. * tcg: add perfmap and jitdumpIlya Leoshkevich2023-01-161-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add ability to dump /tmp/perf-<pid>.map and jit-<pid>.dump. The first one allows the perf tool to map samples to each individual translation block. The second one adds the ability to resolve symbol names, line numbers and inspect JITed code. Example of use: perf record qemu-x86_64 -perfmap ./a.out perf report or perf record -k 1 qemu-x86_64 -jitdump ./a.out DEBUGINFOD_URLS= perf inject -j -i perf.data -o perf.data.jitted perf report -i perf.data.jitted Co-developed-by: Vanderson M. do Rosario <vandersonmr2@gmail.com> Co-developed-by: Alex Bennée <alex.bennee@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Ilya Leoshkevich <iii@linux.ibm.com> Message-Id: <20230112152013.125680-4-iii@linux.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Henderson <richard.henderson@linaro.org>
* linux-user: Don't include gdbstub.h in qemu.hPeter Maydell2021-09-131-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently the linux-user qemu.h pulls in gdbstub.h. There's no real reason why it should do this; include it directly from the C files which require it, and drop the include line in qemu.h. (Note that several of the C files previously relying on this indirect include were going out of their way to only include gdbstub.h conditionally on not CONFIG_USER_ONLY!) * linux-user: Split linux-user internals out of qemu.hPeter Maydell2021-09-131-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | qemu.h is included in various non-linux-user files (which mostly want the TaskState struct and the functions for doing usermode access to guest addresses like lock_user(), unlock_user(), get_user*(), etc). Split out the parts that are only used in linux-user itself into a new user-internals.h. This leaves qemu.h with basically three things: * the definition of the TaskState struct * the user-access functions and macros * do_brk() all of which are needed by code outside linux-user that includes qemu.h. The addition of all the extra #include lines was done with sed -i '/include.*qemu\.h/a #include "user-internals.h"' $(git grep -l 'include.*qemu\.h' linux-user) (and then undoing the change to fpa11.h). * tcg/plugins: implement a qemu_plugin_user_exit helperAlex Bennée2021-07-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In user-mode emulation there is a small race between preexit_cleanup and exit_group() which means we may end up calling instrumented instructions before the kernel reaps child threads. To solve this we implement a new helper which ensures the callbacks are flushed along with any translations before we let the host do it's a thing. While we are at it make the documentation of qemu_plugin_register_atexit_cb clearer as to what the user can expect. * linux-user: add gcov support to preexit_cleanupAlex Bennée2018-07-051-0/+7
| | | | | | | | | | As we don't always take the normal exit path when running a guest we can skip the normal exit destructors where gcov normally dumps it's info. The GCC manual suggests long running programs use __gcov_dump() to flush out the coverage state periodically so we use that here. * linux-user: introduce preexit_cleanupAlex Bennée2018-07-051-0/+28
