* qapi: Move include/qapi/qmp/ to include/qobject/Daniel P. Berrangé2025-02-101-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The general expectation is that header files should follow the same file/path naming scheme as the corresponding source file. There are various historical exceptions to this practice in QEMU, with one of the most notable being the include/qapi/qmp/ directory. Most of the headers there correspond to source files in qobject/. This patch corrects most of that inconsistency by creating include/qobject/ and moving the headers for qobject/ there. This also fixes MAINTAINERS for include/qapi/qmp/dispatch.h: scripts/get_maintainer.pl now reports "QAPI" instead of "No maintainers found". Signed-off-by: Daniel P. * tests/qapi-schema: Drop temporary 'prefix'Markus Armbruster2024-09-101-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Recent commit "qapi: Smarter camel_to_upper() to reduce need for 'prefix'" added a temporary 'prefix' to delay changing the generated code. Revert it. This changes TestUnionEnumA's generated enumeration constant prefix from TEST_UNION_ENUMA to TEST_UNION_ENUM_A. * qapi: allow unions to contain further unionsDaniel P. Berrangé2023-04-261-0/+58
| | | | | | | | | | This extends the QAPI schema validation to permit unions inside unions, provided the checks for clashing fields pass. * qapi tests: Elide redundant has_FOO in generated CMarkus Armbruster2022-12-131-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The has_FOO for pointer-valued FOO are redundant, except for arrays. They are also a nuisance to work with. Recent commit "qapi: Start to elide redundant has_FOO in generated C" provided the means to elide them step by step. This is the step for tests/qapi-schema/qapi-schema-test.json. Said commit explains the transformation in more detail. The invariant violations mentioned there do not occur here. Signed-off-by: Markus Armbruster <armbru@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Daniel P. * Use g_new() & friends where that makes obvious senseMarkus Armbruster2022-03-211-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | g_new(T, n) is neater than g_malloc(sizeof(T) * n). It's also safer, for two reasons. One, it catches multiplication overflowing size_t. Two, it returns T * rather than void *, which lets the compiler catch more type errors. This commit only touches allocations with size arguments of the form sizeof(T). Patch created mechanically with: $ spatch --in-place --sp-file scripts/coccinelle/use-g_new-etc.cocci \ --macro-file scripts/cocci-macro-file.h FILES... * tests: Move unit tests into a separate directoryThomas Huth2021-03-121-0/+807
The main tests directory still looks very crowded, and it's not clear which files are part of a unit tests and which belong to a different test subsystem. Let's clean up the mess and move the unit tests to a separate directory.
