amogus crashes if started through steam

**Describe the bug**
The game doesn't start (crashes after Innersloth logo fades out) if started through Steam. If the game is started directly (`proton .steam/steam/steamapps/common/Among\ Us/Among\ Us.exe` or similar) with steam NOT running, it starts up just fine, though without Steamworks access.

**To Reproduce**
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. Open amogus through steam (library / through a gameid link)
2. It crashes (sus)
3. Open amogus directly
4. It doesn't crash

**Expected behavior**
No crashes involved

**System information:**
 - OS: Ubuntu 23.10 arm64
 - CPU/SoC: Qualcomm SC8280XP on Lenovo ThinkPad X13s
 - Video driver version: Mesa 23.2.1-1ubuntu3.1
 - RootFS used: Ubuntu 23.10 Official Rootfs
 - FEX version: (FEXGetConfig --version): FEX-2403-184-g202a60b
 - Thunks Enabled: No (I believe)

 - Is this an x86 or x86-64 game: x86 (I believe)
 - Does this reproduce on AArch64 with Radeon/Intel/Nvidia: Untested
