* plugins: Add enforcement of QEMU_PLUGIN_CB flags in register R/W callbacksRowan Hart2025-07-021-0/+30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds functionality to enforce the requested QEMU_PLUGIN_CB_ flags level passed when registering a callback function using the plugins API. Each time a callback is about to be invoked, a thread-local variable will be updated with the level that callback requested. Then, called API functions (in particular, the register read and write API) will call qemu_plugin_get_cb_flags() to check the level is at least the level they require. * plugins: optimize cpu_index code generationPierrick Bouvier2024-12-241-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | When running with a single vcpu, we can return a constant instead of a load when accessing cpu_index. A side effect is that all tcg operations using it are optimized, most notably scoreboard access. When running a simple loop in user-mode, the speedup is around 20%. * tcg: Reset free_temps before tcg_optimizeRichard Henderson2024-12-121-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When allocating new temps during tcg_optmize, do not re-use any EBB temps that were used within the TB. We do not have any idea what span of the TB in which the temp was live. Introduce tcg_temp_ebb_reset_freed and use before tcg_optimize, as well as replacing the equivalent in plugin_gen_inject and tcg_func_start. * plugins: fix qemu_plugin_resetPierrick Bouvier2024-10-241-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 34e5e1 refactored the plugin context initialization. After this change, tcg_ctx->plugin_insn is not reset inconditionnally anymore, but only if one plugin at least is active. When uninstalling the last plugin active, we stopped reinitializing tcg_ctx->plugin_insn, which leads to memory callbacks being emitted. This results in an error as they don't appear in a plugin op sequence as expected. The correct fix is to make sure we reset plugin translation variables after current block translation ends. This way, we can catch any potential misuse of those after a given block, in more than fixing the current bug. * tcg: Pass TCGHelperInfo to tcg_gen_callNRichard Henderson2023-06-051-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | In preparation for compiling tcg/ only once, eliminate the all_helpers array. Instantiate the info structs for the generic helpers in accel/tcg/, and the structs for the target-specific helpers in each translate.c. Since we don't see all of the info structs at startup, initialize at first use, using g_once_init_* to make sure we don't race while doing so.
