* contrib/plugins: add compat for g_memdup2Alex Bennée2024-07-301-0/+25
| | | | | | | | | | | | We were premature if bumping this because some of our builds are still on older glibs. Just copy the compat handler for now and we can remove it later. * plugins: fix memory leak while parsing optionsAlex Bennée2023-07-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | It was hard to track down this leak as it was an internal allocation by glib and the backtraces did not give much away. The autofree was freeing the allocation with g_free() but not taking care of the individual strings. They should have been freed with g_strfreev() instead. Searching the glib source code for the correct string free function led to: G_DEFINE_AUTO_CLEANUP_FREE_FUNC(GStrv, g_strfreev, NULL) and indeed if you read to the bottom of the documentation page you will find: typedef gchar** GStrv; A typedef alias for gchar**. This is mostly useful when used together with g_auto(). So fix up all the g_autofree g_strsplit case that smugly thought they had de-allocation covered. * plugins: move the more involved plugins to contribAlex Bennée2020-09-101-0/+340
We have an exploding complexity problem in the testing so lets just move the more involved plugins into contrib. tests/plugins still exist for the basic plugins that exercise the API. We restore the old pre-meson style Makefile for contrib as it also doubles as a guide for out-of-tree plugin builds. While we are at it add some examples to the documentation and a specific plugins build target.
