* linux-user: Populate sigreturn_region_{start,end} in all vdso.SRichard Henderson2025-09-232-0/+2
| | | | | | | Mark the regions which contain sigreturn syscalls within each vdso. Rebuild the shared objects. Signed-off-by: Richard Henderson <richard.henderson@linaro.org>
* bsd-user, linux-user: introduce qemu_process_cpu_eventsPaolo Bonzini2025-09-171-1/+1

* linux-user: Standardize on ELF_MACHINE not ELF_ARCHRichard Henderson2025-08-301-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | PowerPC was the one outlier that defined both ELF_ARCH and ELF_MACHINE; ELF_ARCH was defined incorrectly, necessitating the definition of elf_check_arch. However, the elf file header field in question is called e_machine, so ELF_MACHINE is in fact the better name. Mechanically change most target/target_elf.h files, then adjust ppc/target_elf.h manually. Do not provide a default for ELF_MACHINE. * linux-user/s390x: Expand target_elf_gregset_tRichard Henderson2025-08-302-26/+14
| | | | | | | | | | Make use of the fact that target_elf_gregset_t is a proper structure. This lets us drop the ugly cast to uint32_t* in the middle. Drop ELF_NREG, target_elf_greg_t, and tswapreg. | | | | | | | | | | | | Move target_psw_t to target_ptrace.h. Note that abi_ulong already has an attribute for 8-byte alignment, so there's no need to carry another on target_psw_t. Remove the target_pt_regs; add target_s390x_reg to target_ptrace.h, which matches what is actually used. * linux-user: Move TARGET_SA_RESTORER out of generic/signal.hAndreas Schwab2025-02-181-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | SA_RESTORER and the associated sa_restorer field of struct sigaction are an obsolete feature, not expected to be used by future architectures. They are also absent on RISC-V, LoongArch, Hexagon and OpenRISC, but defined due to their use of generic/signal.h. This leads to corrupted data and out-of-bounds accesses. Move the definition of TARGET_SA_RESTORER out of generic/signal.h into the target_signal.h files that need it. Note that m68k has the sa_restorer field, but does not use it and does not define SA_RESTORER. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | qemu.h is included in various non-linux-user files (which mostly want the TaskState struct and the functions for doing usermode access to guest addresses like lock_user(), unlock_user(), get_user*(), etc). Split out the parts that are only used in linux-user itself into a new user-internals.h. This leaves qemu.h with basically three things: * the definition of the TaskState struct * the user-access functions and macros * do_brk() all of which are needed by code outside linux-user that includes qemu.h. The addition of all the extra #include lines was done with sed -i '/include.*qemu\.h/a #include "user-internals.h"' $(git grep -l 'include.*qemu\.h' linux-user) (and then undoing the change to fpa11.h). | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently when a compare-and-trap instruction is executed, qemu will always raise a SIGILL signal. On real hardware, a SIGFPE is raised. Change the PGM_DATA case in cpu_loop to follow the behavior in linux kernel /arch/s390/kernel/traps.c. * Only raise SIGILL if DXC == 0 * If DXC matches a non-simulated IEEE exception, raise SIGFPE with correct si_code * Raise SIGFPE with si_code == 0 for everything else When applied on 20210705210434.45824-2-iii@linux.ibm.com, this fixes crashes in the java jdk such as the linked bug. * target/s390x: Fix SIGILL and SIGFPE psw.addr reportingIlya Leoshkevich2021-08-031-1/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | For SIGILL, SIGFPE and SIGTRAP the PSW must point after the instruction, and at the instruction for other signals. Currently under qemu-user for SIGFILL and SIGFPE it points at the instruction. Fix by advancing psw.addr for these signals. * linux-user: Extract target errno to 'target_errno_defs.h'Philippe Mathieu-Daudé2021-07-121-0/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We want to access the target errno indepently of the rest of the linux-user code. Move the header containing the generic errno definitions ('errno_defs.h') to 'generic/target_errno_defs.h', create a new 'target_errno_defs.h' in each target which itself includes 'generic/target_errno_defs.h'. * linux-user/s390x: Save and restore psw.mask properlyRichard Henderson2021-06-211-5/+32
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | At present, we're referencing env->psw.mask directly, which fails to ensure that env->cc_op is incorporated or updated. Use s390_cpu_{set_psw,get_psw_mask} to fix this. Mirror the kernel's cleaning of the psw.mask in save_sigregs and restore_sigregs. Ignore PSW_MASK_RI for now, as qemu does not support that.
