* tests, scripts: Don't import print_function from __future__Peter Maydell2025-09-161-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some of our Python scripts still include the line from __future__ import print_function which is intended to allow a Python 2 to handle the Python 3 print() syntax. This particular part of the future arrived many years ago, and our minimum Python version is 3.9, so we don't need to keep this line around. NB: the scripts in tests/tcg/*/gdbstub/ are run with whatever Python gdb was built against, but we can safely assume that that was a Python 3 because our supported distros are all on Python 3. In any case these are only run as part of "make check-tcg", not by end-users. * tests/tcg: Stop using exit() in the gdbstub testcasesIlya Leoshkevich2024-11-181-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | GDB 15 does not like exit() anymore: (gdb) python exit(0) Python Exception <class 'SystemExit'>: 0 Error occurred in Python: 0 Use the GDB's own exit command, like it's already done in a couple places, everywhere. This is the same fix as commit 93a3048dcf45 ("tests: Gently exit from GDB when tests complete"), but applied to more places. * tests/tcg: Run test-proc-mappings.py on i386Ilya Leoshkevich2024-10-131-11/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | Now that orig_ax is exposed and GDB is happy, don't skip test-proc-mappings.py on i386. In fact, it's broken only on m68k now, so skip only this architecture. * tests/tcg: Factor out gdbstub test functionsIlya Leoshkevich2024-01-291-37/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | Both the report() function as well as the initial gdbstub test sequence are copy-pasted into ~10 files with slight modifications. This indicates that they are indeed generic, so factor them out. While at it, add a few newlines to make the formatting closer to PEP-8. * tests/tcg: clean-up gdb confirm/pagination settingsAlex Bennée2023-08-301-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | We can do this all in the run-test.py script so remove the extraneous bits from the individual tests which got copied from the original non-CI gdb tests.
