* qom: Have class_init() take a const data argumentPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé2025-04-251-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | Mechanical change using gsed, then style manually adapted to pass checkpatch.pl script. * include/hw/qdev-properties: Remove DEFINE_PROP_END_OF_LISTRichard Henderson2024-12-191-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now that all of the Property arrays are counted, we can remove the terminator object from each array. Update the assertions in device_class_set_props to match. With struct Property being 88 bytes, this was a rather large form of terminator. Saves 30k from qemu-system-aarch64. * hw/i2c: Enable an id for the pca954x devicesPatrick Venture2023-06-131-0/+22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This allows the devices to be more readily found and specified. Without setting the name field, they can only be found by device type name, which doesn't let you specify the second of the same device type behind a bus. Tested: Verified that by default the device was findable with the name 'pca954x[77]', for an instance attached at that address. * Use g_new() & friends where that makes obvious senseMarkus Armbruster2022-03-211-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | g_new(T, n) is neater than g_malloc(sizeof(T) * n). It's also safer, for two reasons. One, it catches multiplication overflowing size_t. Two, it returns T * rather than void *, which lets the compiler catch more type errors. This commit only touches allocations with size arguments of the form sizeof(T). Patch created mechanically with: $ spatch --in-place --sp-file scripts/coccinelle/use-g_new-etc.cocci \ --macro-file scripts/cocci-macro-file.h FILES... * hw/i2c: flatten pca954x mux devicePatrick Venture2022-03-021-64/+13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Previously this device created N subdevices which each owned an i2c bus. Now this device simply owns the N i2c busses directly. Tested: Verified devices behind mux are still accessible via qmp and i2c from within an arm32 SoC. * hw/i2c: add pca954x i2c-mux switchPatrick Venture2021-04-151-0/+290
The pca954x is an i2c mux, and this adds support for two variants of this device: the pca9546 and pca9548. This device is very common on BMCs to route a different channel to each PCIe i2c bus downstream from the BMC.
