* qom: Have class_init() take a const data argumentPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé2025-04-251-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Mechanical change using gsed, then style manually adapted to pass checkpatch.pl script. * include: Rename sysemu/ -> system/Philippe Mathieu-Daudé2024-12-201-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Headers in include/sysemu/ are not only related to system *emulation*, they are also used by virtualization. Rename as system/ which is clearer. Files renamed manually then mechanical change using sed tool. * hw: Use device_class_set_legacy_reset() instead of opencodingPeter Maydell2024-09-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Use device_class_set_legacy_reset() instead of opencoding an assignment to DeviceClass::reset. This change was produced with: spatch --macro-file scripts/cocci-macro-file.h \ --sp-file scripts/coccinelle/device-reset.cocci \ --keep-comments --smpl-spacing --in-place --dir hw Signed-off-by: Peter Maydell <peter.maydell@linaro.org> Reviewed-by: Richard Henderson <richard.henderson@linaro.org> Message-id: 20240830145812.1967042-8-peter.maydell@linaro.org

* hw/rtc/aspeed_rtc: Use 64-bit offset for holding time_t differencePeter Maydell2023-08-311-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | In the aspeed_rtc device we store a difference between two time_t values in an 'int'. This is not really correct when time_t could be 64 bits. Enlarge the field to 'int64_t'. This is a migration compatibility break for the aspeed boards. While we are changing the vmstate, remove the accidental duplicate of the offset field. * rtc: Move RTC function prototypes to their own headerPeter Maydell2022-01-281-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | softmmu/rtc.c defines two public functions: qemu_get_timedate() and qemu_timedate_diff(). Currently we keep the prototypes for these in qemu-common.h, but most files don't need them. Move them to their own header, a new include/sysemu/rtc.h. Since the C files using these two functions did not need to include qemu-common.h for any other reason, we can remove those include lines when we add the include of the new rtc.h. The license for the .h file follows that of the softmmu/rtc.c where both the functions are defined.
