* tests/functional: Convert the migration avocado testThomas Huth2025-01-301-135/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now that we've got a find_free_port() function in the functional test framework, we can convert the migration test, too. While the original avocado test was only meant to run on aarch64, ppc64 and x86, we can turn this into a more generic test by now and run it on all architectures that have a machine which ships with a working firmware. To avoid overlapping with the migration qtest, we now also test migration on machines that are not covered by the migration qtest yet. * python/qemu: rename command() to cmd()Vladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy2023-10-121-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Use a shorter name. We are going to move in iotests from qmp() to command() where possible. But command() is longer than qmp() and don't look better. Let's rename. You can simply grep for '\.command(' and for 'def command(' to check that everything is updated (command() in tests/docker/docker.py is unrelated). * tests/avocado/migration: Remove the malfunctioning s390x testsThomas Huth2023-07-241-18/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The tests from tests/avocado/migration.py do not work at all on s390x - the bios shuts down immediately when it cannot find a boot disk, so there is nothing left to migrate here. For doing a proper migration test, we would need a proper payload, but we already do such tests in the migration *qtest*, so it is unnecessary to redo such a test here, thus let's simply remove this test. * tests/avocado: Pass parameters to migration testFabiano Rosas2023-05-021-5/+78
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The migration tests are currently broken for an aarch64 host because the tests pass no 'machine' and 'cpu' options on the QEMU command line. Add a separate class to each architecture so that we can specify 'machine' and 'cpu' options instead of relying on defaults. Add a skip decorator to keep the current behavior of only running migration tests when the qemu target matches the host architecture. * tests/avocado/migration: Get find_free_port() from the portsThomas Huth2022-08-301-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In upstream Avocado, the find_free_port() function is not available from "network" anymore, but must be used via "ports", see: https://github.com/avocado-framework/avocado/commit/22fc98c6ff76cc55c48 To be able to update to a newer Avocado version later, let's use the new way for accessing the find_free_port() function here. * tests/avocado: Rename avocado_qemu.Test -> QemuSystemTestPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé2021-11-081-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | To run user-mode emulation tests, we introduced the avocado_qemu.QemuUserTest which inherits from avocado_qemu.QemuBaseTest. System-mode emulation tests are based on the avocado_qemu.Test class, which also inherits avocado_qemu.QemuBaseTest. To avoid confusion, rename it as avocado_qemu.QemuSystemTest. * tests/acceptance: rename tests acceptance to tests avocadoWillian Rampazzo2021-11-081-0/+81
In the discussion about renaming the `tests/acceptance` [1], the conclusion was that the folders inside `tests` are related to the framework running the tests and not directly related to the type of the tests. This changes the folder to `tests/avocado` and adjusts the MAKEFILE, the CI related files and the documentation.
